The greatest band ever

What band would you consider the greatest bank in the world? I did not suggest any band so that people can post the bank they consider the greatest.

It's a tough call Temi, I'd say personally most people would go for the Beatles probably because of so many other musicians they influenced whether you like em or not, personally I would say for me... I couldn't list one.. here would be my top five, fairly obvious ones I guess.

Beatles
Rolling Stones
Nirvana
Jimy Hendrix Experience
Bob Dylan (becasue of the people he influenced as well)

Mine is Smokie, I have been listening to their stuff for over 20 years and still can get tired of it. Living next door to Alice is still one of my favourite track up till today.

Don't really know much of their stuff really, I hate that Alice song though LOL, I don't know why, I thought you mean't smokie robinson at first, quite into that old 60's soul sound.

Its funny how several people I know who grew up in the 60's seemed to rate either the Rolling Stones or The Beatles but not often both, I have a brilliant book that says the Stones' manager tried to dress em smartly but the band wouldn't have it, they eventually gave in at which point the manager realised they would be better to stick to their scruffier image than the Beatles so as to appeal to those that wanted a seemingly rebellious alt.

I actually prefer the Stones early songs to their later ones and vice verse with the Beatles.

I'd have to go for Queen. Amazing songs and amazing live performers as well. I don't think anyone has been able to get a crowd going like Freddie.

I've got to say they aren't my fave band but I can see what others see in them, must admit that Freddy's voice is an incredible talent... If I had to pick a song I'd say It's a Kind Of Magic holds some great memories of a great family Christmas and that song being played loads.
