Hi all. I'm a music afficionado and promoter working on the national finals of Global Battle of the Bands. I hope you don't see this as spam, but I want to plug it because I think it's a really important competition for new talent, and a rarity in an age dominated by X-Factor style mainstream rubbish.
Global Battle of the Bands is in its 4th year and this year will attract participants from 40 countries. The bands enter regional heats, the winners of which go through to national finals. The winners of the national final go through to a three day international final and compete for the “best new band in the world” title, a world tour, and 100,000$ in cash.
This year the UK national finals will be held in the newly refurbished Birmingham Town Hall on Sunday 28th October 2007. Traditionally staged in London, we the organizers at Goodmedia Ltd are hoping to make the competition synonymous with the city of Birmingham by staging the most successful event we can.
So if you're in the area, and you love music, please come and show your support for “real”, un-manufactured, Simon Cowell-free, new talent and help us to make it a ‘sell out’ night to remember!
