A Tribute to the Music & Humour of
DR.HOOK

In 2006 three professional entertainers
who had been in showbiz more years
than they care to remember decided to get together
and form a tribute band but not just any tribute band
this was a tribute to the music and humour of one
of the most prolific bands of the 70s & 80s the band being DR.HOOK
They did this for three reasons
One
they were all great admirers of this band
Two.
After jamming together on a number of occasions
they found their voices blended really well together
creating a unique three piece harmony and
Three.
After realizing how close they could get their harmonies
they really wanted to try them out in front of a live audience

With two of the guys having performed
in a well know comedy act for over two decades
taking their act all over the Uk and Europe
and the third being an established guitar vocalist
they decided to get back to their first love,
making music being as they were all seasoned musicians
having started their careers in the late 60s and early 70s
The band consists of Bass. Keyboards.
And Guitar all played live and enhanced with up to the minute
technology ie; seq drums and some string and brass lines
helping them to create a great sound.
This coupled with their show stopping harmonies and “off the wall”
DR.HOOK type humour makes them a must for most types
of venue being able to do one long set or split as is required
by the client even going on stage as their own support act.

DR HOOK
Dr Hook & the Medicine Show's sardonic,
country-flavoured pop/rock made
them one of the most fondly remembered acts
of the '70s.& 80s Although the band
had a reputation for their “off the wall antic's”
they also had some of the biggest hits of the 70s
including songs such has The Cover of Rolling Stone,
Sylvia's Mother, Sharing the Night Together,
When Your in Love with a Beautiful woman,
and many more, but they didn't rely exclusively
on chart hits by any means.
And during their peak years, they were just as famed
for their crazed stage antics, which ranged
from surreal banter to impersonating their own opening
acts so why not relive the days of one of the
most prolific bands of the 70s & early 80s
