I am always poking my nose in here (nostalgia)
I haven't lived in Brum since 1976 so I miss it sometimes.
I am still a muso and I still play even in my 50's
So I am just saying hello to you all

wow.. that's brought a smile to my face and I needed it tonight I can assure you.
I first got into Terry Reid by buying an old Mickie Most LP from a charity shop in Hereford. I was going to do a dance style remix of Super Lungs mixed with a nom shiva vocals (indian track), I didn't actually like the Terry Reid song but had to buy the album on CD to get the track good quality to sample... I loved virtually everything else on the album and have since dug deep into the back catalogue and think the voice and music is just ace. Terry really has a distinctive and wonderful voice, I'd say something overlooked by many. p.s. I never did get the track finished but maybe one day.

Keith, my old man is 70 this year... he grew up in Weoley Castle and was a Teddy Boy in the late 50s, he was into the Kinks and Stones but didn't much like the Beatles for some reason, maybe the hype? not sure, anyway, we bought him a p.c. two years ago and he's never looked back since, he hated the idea but now, he is ranked in the top 20% in the world for the top sudoku site. He's also an ace athlete. I am pretty fit and recently competed in a half marathon in Stratford, my dad goes to the same gym as me and he is only a matter of seconds away from my very best time on the rower. How mad is that!!!

I played on Bang Bang and Superlungs except the actual track Superlungs which was Pete Solley.
I got real sick back then and had to leave Terry and was hospitalized for months. I guess you know about Terry's site

there was a chap in our local the other night going on about how good he looked for his age, 53...
he has thick NH style glasses, he can't read the strength on the real ale taps, he has a walking stick as his knees are wrecked and he looks like he just crawled from under a hedge, I didnt have the heart to shatter his dreams. lol

Having said that Bill,
I had an evening off gigs tonight,
and walked up the hill, to my local pub, with my youngest daughter.
I am proud to say, half way up she was 'jiggered'
and this old geezer kept going!!!
Don't write us all off yet!!

I walk my dog out here in the canyons... I have to keep my dog on a very short leash though because of the many many rattlesnakes here.
Of course I have bobcats and cougars too.
I have to clear my backyard in the am before I can let my animals out.
