ReSound Mastering offers a great inexpensive mastering service for all bands or solo musicians to utilize. Analysis of each individual track followed by complete mastering optimization is standard with the service. Once the track or tracks have been mastered, a document explaining the changes, along with the mastered audio will be sent back to the client.
Mastering is an essential process to get the most from your music. There are good reasons why you should always have your music Mastered - here is why:
1) The mastering engineer has a pair of unbiased ears that can be used to balance your music by taking away many of the faults that went unnoticed during the recording process. For example, equalization adjustment, compression or expanding, stereo widening, etc. All these functions serve to increase the chance of a listener enjoying your music.
2) If you have many tracks which need mastering, the mastering engineer can sequence them for you in a way which will sound appealing to a listener. The mastering engineer can adjust the various tracks so an overall cohesive sound will prevail from the collection of music.
3) During the mastering process it is possible to increase the overall perceived loudness of your track without causing audible damage to your music. In todays world, this is an essential process. If you want to be heard, the overall loudness of your music must match that of other professional recordings. The trick is the increase the loudness without creating noticeable damage to your music, or inducing 'ear fatigue' the the listener.
