Hi Shane,
I'm sure when our Administrators log one,
they may well have some ideas for you.
They have many contacts, and I am sure they
will point you in the right direction.

Hello Shane,
sounds quite refreshing actually.
I have been to Chesterfield a few times, think I watched a band there last time in a pub somewhere.. anyway that's a bit vague and no help to you.
Re: promoters... I can't advise on other parts of the country but here are a list of some good West Mids venues and band nights for you to start with:

Many of my mates bands have played the London circuit only to play to empty rooms, sometimes I think it's better to choose a venue that already has a gig night attached to guarantee an audience.

The Jug Of Ale usually gets quite busy as well, it's not massive but they do have a separate room for the bands so definitely try them too.
