Keith Law, has composed over 500 songs
including, Yellow Cave Woman,
Within' The Night and Once Among The Trees
on the highly collectable, 1969 Velvett Fogg album.
He has also written all the songs, and performs
on the Jardine album released January 2008

Keith currently has 20 records released
and his songs are continually re-released

The Velvett Fogg album, is constantly re-released
and in May 2007 as an LP
Currently selling well in Europe, USA and Japan

Keith toured and played in Germany, Denmark,
and Sweden with bands,
including Bob Catley's, (Next to Keith, on the far right)
'pre-Magnum' band Life, who performed Keith's songs.
This band also included, Chis Brown, of The Band Of Joy(Third from left)

He was based in Stockholm, for some time, where he worked with many Swedish musos.On his return to the UK, he was soon involved once again in the Birmingham group scene.

Keith Law, continued writing and recording songs,
with friends such as
Paul Lockey, ex- The Foundations and Robert Plant's Band Of Joy
and was produced by such prolific producers as
Tony Visconti

One of Keith's songs Harpsichord was released as a single on the
United Artists label, by the band Stampede

Keith's songs have been published by Acuff-Rose, Schroeder Music,
(The Beatles), Apple Music, Belzize Music.

Keith Law, was approached for original material for Velvett Fogg,
who were formed in 1968 out of a respectable Brum band called
Gravy Train.
The initial line-up of Velvett Fogg featured guitarist Tony Iommi
(later to make the big time with Black Sabbath).

March 2009
"The City of Birmingham, Central Library, and Birmingham City University,
are to formally recognise Keith Law, as part of the City's heritage and history.
His name will be included in the Birmingham archives,
as an important contributor to the cultural history of the city.
Keith is meeting representatives this month."

I Just Knew You'd Rise Again,Stars ,Show Me The Way To Life and Sometimes in the Night which shines for its intense sound ,involving totally the listeners with his rhythm.

Personally I like in particular Show Me The Way To Life and Sometimes in the Night. A great pleasure to listen them looking for the new LP!

Jardine's album was recorded in three glorious weeks
in June 1969, at Sounds Aquarian Studios,
a stone's throw from that justifiably famous
fashion hub, Carnaby Street.
The sessions were fun. Polydor was supposed
to release the album.
Musicians dropped in to say "hello" and ended up
on the record (uncredited) among them Peter Frampton,
Andrew "Andy" Bown (Herd and Status Quo),
and Brian Appleyard (drummer from East of Eden).
Singer Mickey Cox had been in Robert Plant's pre-Led Zeppelin group
The Band of Joy it was Cox, in fact, who became their singer
when Plant left the band.
But suddenly, thanks to band management problems,
the LP was shelved.
Keith Law, who had written all of the songs,
joined Velvett Fogg
for their only album, and Jardine was forgotten.
Now, forty years later, you can be among the first
to discover the brooding excellence of these tracks
music both strange and sinister, with moments of fragile beauty.
There are some very pretty songs here
(haunting melodies abound),
but there is no escaping the dark side of life songs
("Masochists of Strangulation", "Execution of the Child"
and monumental dirge "Blackbirds of Jardine",
which tells of self-same birds,
and the fact that they will 'destroy you,
and leave you pain, pain, pain'),
perhaps more akin to the band Comus than to anything
else we have encountered from the psychedelic era.
There are also heavy guitar solos, churning organ, flute,
and flowing sitar for good measure.
A 16-page booklet includes a band history,
lyrics and comments on the songs by Keith Law.
A lost jewel of late-1960's UK Psychedelia,
from a short-lived but charismatic band!
