Hello everyone,
Greetings from the distant past. Luke Sky here, original singer/guitarist with Fashion. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers the band. I'm writing a book about my time with the original line-up 1978-80. Any memories anyone?

Been living in San Francisco area for last 20 years. So, now I've come out of me time capsule and recorded a new album "Stairway To Nowhere"- should be ready before end of year. Also, putting out CD of Product Perfect our first album. If anyone's interested please check out:

Thanks and look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers

Hello Chaps,
Just a quick note to let you all know that STAIRWAY TO NOWHERE the first new Fashion CD featuring Luke since 1979 is now available. It took a year to write and record and is available from: www.fashionlukesky.com or www.myspace.com/fashionlukesky - where there are also excerpts from the book of the same name. There is also a video of me reading an excerpt (with stuff about early Duran Duran) from the book at San Francisco's Litquake Festival.
Cheers
Luke

Yes, born in Selly Oak hospital. Went to school in Bournville. Years on the Handsworth and Moseley doles before I got my record deal. Left the band Fashion in 1980, been here and there doing this and that since but have lived in San Francisco area for last 20 years. Thought it was time to dust off the old band and see what it sounded like. Wrote and recorded the whole album myself -haven't spoken to bass/keyboard player Mulligan since 1980, drummer Dik Davis and producer Miki Cottrell both RIP. Used a drummer from Savvanah, GA on 3 tracks (file exchange) otherwise did everything myself - took a year. The first album from 1979 is also available on CD from both MySpace and main web site. Plus I'm working on a book, a memoir of my time on the road.
Thanks for taking a look.
Stay in touch
Cheers
Luke

Hey Luke

I saw you in Derby years ago! I've been listening to you ever since!

I wish I'd found this site before now and I could have contributed to your book ...

So are you coming to England, Birmingham, any time in the future?

Would love to meet up and have a chat or see your new stuff.

Take care

See you some time, hopefully

Keep up with the good work.

Cheers

Hello Karena,
Derby eh? Was that the Assembly Rooms on The Police Message in A Bottle Tour? I have no immediate plans to return to Brum - although my younger brother still lives there, so you never know. Next time I do visit I'll post something on my web sites: www.myspace.com/fashionlukesky or www.fashionlukesky.com

I'm working on a Luke "solo" album at the moment - right load of self-indulgent old twaddle if you ask me :) ... but loads of fun (which is pretty much the whole point of playing music, right?)

Thanks for the support all this time - it does mean a lot.
Cheers
Luke
