Should this be for all musicians or just Brum related ones?

What do people think?

Originally it was set up for local musicians and to give them a place to discuss local issues as there isn't really anywhere decent to do that at the present other than here.

The problem is that there seems to be more people from outside areas joining which is fine also but I guess if we are promoting local musicians as with the Brumbeat thing on myspace maybe it will become too diluted and potentially difficult to manage considering it;s free.

One option could be to have a separate area/thread for non local artists to promote their sounds? what do people think? thanks

I think MySpace does a pretty good job, of hosting global artists,
and although it's not a forum as such, I see this forum, for locals.
I do believe that it will get diluted, and just an advertsising space,
for artists, from all over the world.
The post I have in moderation, is advertising a CD from a band
based in Ohio, USA.
What is the point of that? on our forum?

No, I think we should be paramount, in our duty,
to give maximum exposure to the Unsigned artists,
in this our Unsigned City.

I guess I see your point, there are other forums for advertising bands, I think we need more local artists to participate, I did a bit of spamming a while back through Brumbeat but not much joy.

I know what you mean, so did I, through Brumbeat!!
I had another problem during the last two weeks, where
a US website, was spamming their book,
they posted the same post, lots of times, under different titles.
As per our rules, I deleted all, but the original.
